JESUS IS YOUR ULTIMATE SOURCE.

Did you know that Jesus is your ultimate source? He is the only One who can sustain you and bring you the fulfillment you desire. Maybe you have been looking at others to satisfy and fulfill you. Today I want you to know that Jesus is your ultimate source. Sometimes we as human beings have a tendency of looking to people as our sources because we tend to focus on what we can see. So we shy away from trusting God because we cannot see Him. And because we cannot see Him, we assume He is not that powerful. Or maybe even if we know He is powerful we imagine that He might not want to help us and be our source.

Maybe you have been struggling with that for a while now. If this is you then I would like to encourage you to read on. Allow this post to revive your hope and faith in God. And ignite the faith to trust God as your ultimate source.

Jesus said, โ€œI am the Bread of Life. The person who aligns with me hungers no more and thirsts no more, ever. I have told you this explicitly because even though you have seen me in action, you donโ€™t really believe me. Every person the Father gives me eventually comes running to me. And once that person is with me, I hold on and donโ€™t let go. I came down from heaven not to follow my own whim but to accomplish the will of the One who sent me.

John 6:35โ€ญ-โ€ฌ38 MSG

Lessons to learn from this scripture.

What a beautiful scripture filled with God’s promises. Jesus being your source means that those deep areas that have a void that you have not known how to fill, He can fill them. The good thing about Jesus is that He never waits for you to get your act together so that He can fill you. He wants to do so and even help you in your sanctification journey. When Jesus says that He is the bread of life, He means that He is what you need to live life in fullness.

So in those days, bread was essential for the survival of the people in Israel. It was a staple food. So Jesus using that meant that He would satisfy more than the staple food did. He wanted to show them that they should not focus on bread, but rather should focus on Him which is eternal and not temporal. What lessons can you learn from this scripture? Water at the time was not good either, that was why they took wine with their meals.

Again, Jesus wanted them to know that they could depend on Him for the very things they could not even control. Those things they yearned for but could not get. Maybe this is you and you have a desire and a longing that you don’t know how it will be satisfied. Today I want to encourage you to turn to Jesus as your ultimate source. He not only wants to heal you. But He also wants you to experience the fulfillment that ultimately comes from Him. He will fill that God-shaped void that was left after the fall of man. So here are some of the lessons to learn from this passage of scripture.

Fulfillment and contentment comes from Jesus.

Do you constantly struggle with feelings of discontent and unfulfillment? Are you always focused on the next thing and stuck in the ‘if only’ syndrome? The ‘if only’ syndrome is one where you think that satisfaction and fulfillment will come when you get a certain thing. But here Jesus is addressing that by saying that you can run to Him if you are hungry or thirsty and in lack.

Jesus is the only one who can fill your soul. Nothing else in this world can ever satisfy you. We all have areas we are experiencing lack and God wants you to know that He is the only one who can satisfy you. In Him, there is the ultimate fulfillment. There are people who seemingly have it all but are still not content, and others who don’t have it all but are content.

Fulfillment is not a feeling it is a choice that one makes to live in the moment and enjoy every second. Why worry about tomorrow when you can do nothing about it? Jesus says that He dresses the lilies with beauty and splendor, so how much more do you think He will clothe you? You are His most prized possession. He also died so that you can receive eternal life and be reconciled with your heavenly Father. Here is a scripture that talks about how God fills us.

ย Some of us once wandered in the wilderness like desert nomads, with no true direction or dwelling place. Starving, thirsting, staggering, we became desperate and filled with despair. He led us right into a place of safety and abundance, a suitable city to dwell in. How he satisfies the souls of thirsty ones and fills the hungry with all that is good!

Psalms 107:4โ€ญ-โ€ฌ5โ€ญ, โ€ฌ7โ€ญ, โ€ฌ9 TPT

Jesus wants you to cry out to Him. He has everything that you need and longs for. He wants to fill every empty area in your life. But for you to get it, run to Him. He will also satisfy even the deepest parts of your soul and heal your wounds and pain because He is the river of living waters. These waters restrict every dead area in your life that was killed by disappointment, trauma, loss, and pain.

He does not want to just heal you, but restore you back to the person you were meant to be, whole and complete: Nothing missing, nothing broken. So are you ready to cry out to Him today? Which areas do you want and need a touch from Him? He is ready and waiting. His word alone will heal you and the best part is He knows exactly what you need, therefore there is no trial and error with Him.ย

One of the most beautiful things is that everything Jesus gives you is free because He already purchased it. He just wants you to get the best from Him. Also, He is the one who will give you the true identity that will help you gain the confidence you need to experience ultimate fulfillment and satisfaction. Because of how fast things change in our world, there is a constant need to keep up with the latest cultural trend, new gadgets and fashion trends. But when you find your fulfillment in Jesus you will be content enough not to chase the wind. Sometimes the reason you are always going after the next thing is that you are chasing after a void that only Jesus can fill.

Have you been struggling with your sense of identity? Have you been dealing with a case of FOMO? Could it be that you have yet to turn to Jesus who is your ultimate source? Will you surrender your life to Him today? Will you invite Him into your heart? Jesus is waiting on you, He already made provisions for you to come to Him. So you do not need to work your way to Him. All you need is to have faith in Him and come as you are. He is waiting on you today. Don’t delay any longer.

โ€œCome, all you who are thirsty,
ย ย ย ย come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
ย ย ย ย come, buyย and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
ย ย ย ย without money and without cost.
2ย Why spend money on what is not bread,
ย ย ย ย and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
ย ย ย ย and you will delight in the richestย of fare.
3ย Give ear and come to me;
ย ย ย ย listen,ย that you may live.
I will make an everlasting covenantย with you,
ย ย ย ย my faithful loveย promised to David.

Jesus will never let go.

I love the part that says every person the father gives to Him eventually comes to Him and once they do; He holds on and never lets them go. Isn’t it amazing that Jesus will never let go of you? Also, isn’t it cool to know that God beckoned you to come to Him even before you made that decision? God chose you even before you knew Him.

For he knew all about us before we were born and he destined us from the beginning to share the likeness of his Son. This means the Son is the oldest among a vast family of brothers and sisters who will become just like him. Having determined our destiny ahead of time, he called us to himself and transferred his perfect righteousness to everyone he called. And those who possess his perfect righteousness he co-glorified with his Son!

Romans 8:29โ€ญ-โ€ฌ30 TPT

This shows you that God had a plan in place for you long before you became His. He drew you to Himself. And all this because of the love He has for you as His child. You are not a mistake; you are not unwanted, and there is nothing that will ever separate you from the love of God. No sin is greater than His grace and His love.

Another thing to note here is that God says He will never let go once He takes a hold of you. He will jealously guard you because you are His. And even in moments where you go astray because, as human beings, we fall short of the glory of God, He will convict you lovingly to draw you back into His arms. Do not allow shame and condemnation to cause you to run away from God. Are you struggling with hidden and unconfessed sin, run to Jesus, tell Him everything, bare your soul out. He knows you will never be perfect as He is the only one who is perfect. Running to Him with your struggles will release His strength in your life and cause you to overcome everything. You are victorious in Him.

In addition, you have the Holy Spirit to help you with your weakness; you are not alone and He does not want you to do this alone. The Holy Spirit will empower you to live a life of righteousness and keep you focused on Jesus. Jesus will never let you go. You can hold on to this truth. He loves you so much so that when you were still a sinner; Jesus died for you. He had you in His mind while He was on the cross

We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faithโ€™s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!

Hebrews 12:2b TPT

Take away

There is ultimate fulfillment in Jesus, and there is no desire that He cannot satisfy.

When you open your generous hand, itโ€™s full of blessings, satisfying the longings of every living thing.

Psalms 145:16 TPT

Jesus called you even before you knew Him. He also drew you near to Him before you knew who He was. This means that you are wanted and you have a place to call home in Him. That He chose you means He loves you and cares about your every need and longing. He knows the deepest parts of you and has the solution to everything you are going through. If you let Him, you will experience ultimate fulfillment in Him.

You do not have to pretend with Him. He wants you to tell Him everything you are thinking of and allow His love to wash away everything that is not of Him. Do not put on a mask with Him, be transparent. He is interested in the real you and not the person you are pretending to be. You do not have to be perfect, just be real with Him.

You aren’t only loved but also chosen, accepted, and celebrated. Hold on to that truth and even in moments where you do not feel like it or the devil is trying to make you feel unworthy let this be a reminder: Jesus died for you and because you came to Him, He will never let go of you. Always remember that nothing will ever make Him stop loving you.ย

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

1ย I lift up my eyes to the mountainsโ€”
ย ย ย ย where does my help come from?
2ย My help comes from theย Lord,
ย ย ย ย the Maker of heavenย and earth.

3ย He will not let your foot slipโ€”
ย ย ย ย he who watches over you will not slumber;
4ย indeed, he who watchesย over Israel
ย ย ย ย will neither slumber nor sleep.

5ย Theย Lordย watches overย youโ€”
ย ย ย ย theย Lordย is your shade at your right hand;
6ย the sunย will not harm you by day,
ย ย ย ย nor the moon by night.

7ย Theย Lordย will keep you from all harmโ€”
ย ย ย ย he will watch over your life;
8ย theย Lordย will watch over your coming and going
ย ย ย ย both now and forevermore.
